Rapid 277

The new Rapid 277 will provide a faster way for people to get from Ramona to Poway via Highway 67 without a car. Ending at Sabre Springs Transit Center, Rapid 277 will connect to other major transit routes, providing access to jobs, schools, and other vital destinations throughout the San Diego region. Businesses connected to the route will benefit from the improved access for customers and potential employees, and fewer cars on the road will improve traffic flow for commuters.

Since early 2025, SANDAG has been studying where the route could go, its potential stops, and many other details. This work will continue through mid-2026. Pending funding for planning, design, and construction, Rapid 277 could be open for riders as soon as 2029.

Watch the informational session (en español) about this project from January 29, 2025.
