The Executive Committee provides oversight for the preparation of the agency budget and work program, provides recommendations on legislative proposals and agency policies, and sets the Board of Directors agenda. Recommendations of the Executive Committee are forwarded to the Board of Directors for action.
The Executive Committee meetings are generally held at 9 a.m. on the first Friday of the month for approximately three hours.

The Executive Committee is composed of six voting members that represent East County, North County Coastal, North County Inland, South County, the City of San Diego, and the San Diego County Board of Supervisors. The SANDAG Chair is one of the six voting members. The SANDAG Vice Chair is also on the committee if they represent a different region than the Chair.
