Thousands Ride Across the San Diego Region for SANDAG Bike Anywhere Day 2025

More Than 10,000 Visits Recorded from Oceanside to Tijuana

Thousands of people across the San Diego region participated in SANDAG Bike Anywhere Day on Thursday morning, with 10,010 visits recorded at more than 100 pit stops. This year’s turnout represents an 11% increase in participation compared to last year and marks the highest participation since the COVID-19 pandemic.

From Oceanside to Tijuana, pit stops featured fun activities, and participants received official SANDAG Bike Anywhere Day 2025 t-shirts, bike maps, snacks, and refreshments.

This year, eligible registrants were automatically entered into the Bike Anywhere Day 2025 Sweepstakes for a chance to win one of three e-bikes, powered by Rad Power Bikes. The Sweepstakes is now closed, and winners will be contacted by SANDAG on Friday, May 16, 2025.

For more than 30 years, SANDAG has hosted the annual event, encouraging people to bike as a fun, sustainable, and healthy way to get around. With more than 1,800 miles of bikeways in the region, SANDAG continues to invest in new infrastructure and is currently building five bikeways: Border to Bayshore, Inland Rail Trail, Bayshore Bikeway Barrio Logan, Imperial Avenue, and Eastern Hillcrest.

In addition to Bike Anywhere Day, SANDAG is celebrating National Bike Month with special promotions from local businesses for customers who arrive by bike. These offers are available through Saturday, May 31. To learn more about Bike Month and view participating offers, visit SANDAG.org/bikemonth.
